We stumbled across this restaurant and we were extremely lucky they could squeeze us in. The food was sublime, the best we’ve had in our 3 weeks of travels. So pleased to meet the chef too. All staff extremely helpful and lovely and translated the menu perfectly . Would so so come back and totally recommend this gem of a restaurant, and to finish it off so reasonably priced ..

Fabulous food and service in a gorgeous location opposite the port de plaisance in Briare. The lunch set menu is excellent value for money. Booked for dinner tomorrow. Very busy so you need to reserve.

A local hotelier recommended this place to us, and it didn't disappoint. All of us said how delicious the food was, but I had the most unique and most delicious carpaccio that I have ever had. If I could have had it for all three courses, I would have. Do visit and try it

So far the best food we have had in France and we have been travelling the country on the canals for almost three months now. A small place but everything served was made with so much love and care and the service was great. But you HAVE to book a table, they are always fully booked.

Family run by enthusiastic, efficient and fun staff with a real sense of humour, the whole enterprise is validated by its food, which is spectacularly good. I had 'escargots de Bourgogne en coquille au beurre d'ail' to start... and 'Pave de rumsteak charolais, bearnaise' as a main. I can't remember tasting better anywhere, including some top restaurants in Paris. Naturally, such gastronomic expertise is highly valued, so you absolutely need to book in advance. Great food. Good menu to select from. Great service. Located right across from the canal and port. Easy parking, easy-to-find. Very nice ambiance overall, clientel included. We stayed in the gite above which was lovely, as well.

This is the most lovely restaurant. Unpretentious with a great ever changing menu. Everyone so welcoming, food delicious. Thoroughly recommend but book early, very popular!

Everything here was more than superb, from the very friendly, helpful, staff/owners, (who all spoke perfect English) to the wonderful service, ambience and the vast variety of excellent food and wine available.
Good food, well priced. Kind staff and tourist friendly. Classic French menu with a new special every day. Wonderful desserts! 3 courses with drinks around €75 for a table for two, which is well priced for the quality and quantity offered.

Called in second day running as we enjoyed the food and the ambience so much the lady who served us was amazing and extremely helpful making sure we knew the food we were ordering and she had a great sence of humour

As a non speaking person they were really polite and translated the menu for me. The food was really nice and tastefull. They did there best and we tasted that. And the price was good to.
